Well, they've done it again!  The students and teachers have prepared yet another fantastic Exhibition for you to enjoy.  I expect that you will be exceedingly proud of your child(ren) and our school after you experience the extraordinary array of projects, presentations, and performances that have been prepared for your inspection.  Please ask the children questions about what they have learned, how they learned it, and why it's important.  If your interests or expertise allow, please probe deeply, challenge them - they look forward to it.  Nothing will give the students greater pleasure than adults demonstrating sincere interest in the work that they have done and the learning that they have accomplished.

LADY NAVIGATORS GO ON TO LEAGUE FINALS

The second place Lady Navigators (North Division) defeated the first place Pioneer Academy (South Division) of Everett last night 19-10 in semi-final competition.  In the second half, our own Olivia Comeau (seventh grade) tied the league record of 3-point baskets over the season! All of the girls played exceptionally, perfecting plays like P-Diddy, and Piccalilli!  Coach Boccia and Coach Dunne have worked the girls each practice, and it truly shows!  This is the first basketball team since the inception of the program to compete in the Massachusetts Charter School Basketball League finals!  Congratulations Girls!

This Friday, March 4th, our Lady Navigators will take on either KIPP (1 - North Division) or Boston Collegiate (2 - South Division). Tip off for finals action is scheduled for 5:00pm at the Wetherbee Elementary School in Lawrence (75 Newton Street).

"Teal, Black, White, Let's Go, Let's Fight!"

SAFETY FIRST....

As you know, drop off can be a busy time here at MCCPS.  Inclement weather tends to increase traffic flow, and can negatively impact road conditions. Due to this increased risk, please remind your child to exit only through the main doors where staff are visibly present, each and every day.  No students should be exiting through the back or side of the building.  Working together we can ensure each child's safety and well being.  Thank you for your cooperation!
