Hello From Nature's Classroom 2010
Hello from Nature's Classroom. The sixth graders have settled in and are having a ton of fun. The food is good, the teachers are nice, and the beds are soft enough. Your children have been busy learning about trees, plants, and animals (some even saw a porcupine). We have also enjoyed hiking, building water rockets, singing, dissecting a pig, playing tag, building structures, and completing challenges as a team. On Tuesday and Wednesday, students became insects, frogs and snakes and played a huge game of predator and prey. Teachers and students created their own cultures and became anthropologists to learn about each other's cultures; waakaa waakaa choo choo(ed. note ???). Other highlights included natural facials, edible plants, fire building, more singing, and cake in Ms. Dunne's face. Having a great time! Hope you are not missing us too much. Check the MCCPS website for updated pictures throughout the week. See you on Friday around 2pm.-The Sixth Grade Team
