A MESSAGE FROM THE ART ROOM

There are a variety of art contests open to students. Recently students from grades 6 to 8 submitted Fire Prevention posters. Soon the 5th graders will be invited to participate in an Arbor Day poster contest. More on this right after Exhibition, but you may want to check this site: http://www.arborday.org/kids/postercontest/.

Also, please check out these other contests, open to all grades, all with deadlines in March, if you are interested:
  • Wild Life Forever     http://www.statefishart.com/ (March 31st deadline)
  • Nature’s Voice – Our Choice   http://www.naturesvoice-ourchoice.org/ (March 22nd deadline)
  • U.S. Fish and Wild Life    http://www.fws.gov/juniorduck/ (March 15th deadline)

This year we would also like to submit some of our students’ art works to the Marblehead Festival of Arts, so keep on drawing and painting! More on this later…

Congratulations, Daniel!

We are proud to announce that Daniel Woolhiser has been chosen to participate in Walnut Hill School's prestigious Workshop in Visual Art. He is a talented artist, and this is a well deserved honor.
