Recap:

PTO purchased 30 clipboards for use in the otdoor classroom as approved at the final meeting of the 2008/09 school year. They are being stored in the copy room near the 6th grade classrooms.

2009-2010 Directory was printed and distributed: We'll need 2 volunteers to oversee this project next year. Minimal time commitment.

Grade level liaisons appointed: contact for all grade level correspondence

Spirit week- PTO involvement limited due to the date change to the begining of the year. PTO provided hot chocolate and warm apple cider after all school clean up thanks to great response from the Go-To-List.

 

Action Items:

MCCPS PTO Gift Book Program - always looking for volunteers. Many quality books added to our library. Franny Poisson is looking to help anchor the library at MCCPS by raising funds and defining a space. Please contact us if this is an area of interest for you.

PTO enrichment week, funded in part by a grant from Friends of Marblehead Schools, will focus on respecting differences and embracing diversity. Approaching fast, volunteers needed to help plan events and activities- contact Mary McRae or Kathy Cormier.

Holly Sullivan volunteered to be assistant to the treasurer (Avery)

Yearbooks- we're looking for pictures to add to the yearbook. Go to waldsworthyearbooks.com then go to community share, community activities which can link to the charter website. Share your pictures on this secure sight. Only Avery or someone she has cleared can see the pictures.

Guest Speaker: 

Michael Houlihan M.Ed. - Charter guidance counselor shared his roles and responsibilities with the PTO. If anyone is familiar with a professional Internet Safety program (geared toward increasing the safety of our children while online) please make Mr Houlihan aware of it.
