MCCPS Hosts Guest Artist FLINTface

Recording artist FLINTface will perform for 8th grade students at Marblehead Community Charter Public School (MCCPS) on Thursday, October 20 from 1:00-2:30pm.  FLINTface (aka Joe Scorsone) is a singer/songwriter who delivers a blend of Urban/Pop and Rap music. The performance will be free and the public is welcome.

Following a performance of songs from his album, MAKE AMENDS (Best Buy), FLINTface will hold a Q&A/discussion session with students focusing on all aspects of being a working artist – songwriting, recording, touring, and the business elements of making music a career.

The event was organized by MCCPS music teacher Adria Smith.  “We are very excited to have FLINTface perform for our students,” said Ms. Smith.  “It’s a terrific opportunity for them to interact with a recording artist and learn firsthand what a career in music involves.”

FLINTface is a unique artist who blends a hybrid of Urban/ Pop & Rap to deliver a compelling message through lyrics that speak from the heart about personal struggles and hope.  His message is "Never give up, because you are never alone."  FLINTface is an independent artist currently supported & sponsored by Best Buy.  For more information about FLINTface, visit his website www.flintface.com.
